Snow Peak's short titanium spork is a good alternative to full-size utensils if weight/bulk is an issue for you. The nice thing about titanium is it doesn't rust, it's as light as plastic, but doesn't melt when exposed to high temperatures. Yes, it's more expensive, but it's reliable. You probably won't need to buy another one in your lifetime, unless you lose it.
